FALL LIPS LINEUP

LIP LINEUP #1
As much as I love the look of a bold, red or berry lip for fall, I just don't have the courage to wear one on a daily basis. So here are six of my favorite, easy to wear lip products for this season.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bahama- I have to say that the formulation of this product makes it one of my absolute favorites! It has a matte finish and is very long lasting, but doesn't dry your lips out. The color Bahama is also great for fall and I would describe it as a dark, rosy pink. It's a winner!

Revlon Lipstick in Rosy Nude- I would describe this color as a "my lips but better" color. Well, it is for my skin tone anyway. This brown-toned pink is perfect for a fresh and bright look. It just has a way unfing up your face without going over board.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey- Now, I think that this product is fantastic for all year round, but its moisturizing properties make it especially suitable for the colder months. This product is supposed to apply like a lip balm and have the long lasting qualities of a stain. Check and Check! The color honey is also a beautiful mid-tone pink and I think it would be flattering on all skin tones.
Korres Lip Butter in Plum- When I first laid my eyes on this lip color, I was a bit shocked by how dark it looked. Despite the deep maroon color, I tried it on and fell in love. It creates a nice berry color that almost looks like you just bit your lip...in a good way. Also, this product gets a bonus for being hydrating as well!
Soap and Glory A Great Kisser Lip Balm- This product would fall more under the category of lip care, but I chose to include it anyway because it is just so darn good! My lips tend to become quite chapped in the cooler months and this has been a savior!

Hope you enjoyed this rambley post!

NAIL'D IT: Fall Nail Polish Picks

NAIL'D IT #1

Fall is my favorite season for many reasons. The cool weather, the fashion, the overload of pumpkin, but most of all the nail polish trends. Don't get me wrong, I do love a summery neon nail, but when fall rolls around neutrals, darks, and metallics are where its at. So on that note, I present to you my top 3 nail polish picks for fall 2013:

Lady like by Essie: Now this is a polish that I had heard a lot about on blogs, but at first glance I didn't really see the hype. It just looked like a boring pinky beige. Well boy was I wrong. This color gives a chic, sophisticated and well... lady like look to the nails! It is now a must have in my collection.
We'll Always Have Paris by OPI: If I had to recommend one color out of the three, it would be this one. In my opinion, a deep bordeaux nail polish is always a must have for fall. It has a dark and mysterious feel without the harshness of black nails.

Wallis by Butter London: Now this color is definitely the wildcard of the three. It is a golden green shade or as I like to call it, the color of fairy vomit. I think this is one of those love it or hate it colors and I personally can't get enough of it! It looks really interesting on the nails and adds a fair amount of pazazz to your look!

Well I hope you enjoyed this NAIL'D IT post!

SKIN FOOD # 1

SKIN FOOD #1

Lately, my skin has been a bit out of control. I partly blame a product that I had an allergic reaction to, but my skin's tantrum was mostly due to my unhealthy diet these past few weeks. To put it in simple terms: Too much pizza= PIZZAFACE. Anyway, whenever my skin is about to take a turn for the worse, I reach for my two favorite face masks.
The first one is the Origins Clear Improvement Mask. This is the perfect mask for yanking out all that dirt and debris that clogs pores. Apply this mask all over your face, leave on for 10 minutes, remove and be amazed by your clean and clear skin! One warning, your friends/family will probably think you have turned into a zombie when you have this on your face...Last minute Halloween costume idea anyone???

The mask I like to follow up with is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. Now if you want to wake up with healthy glowing skin ( don't we all?!), then this is the mask for you! This is an overnight mask which basically feels like you are applying an oily lotion all over your face, but trust me it does wonders. An added bonus is the lovely apricot scent. Delicious!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my first SKIN FOOD!
